    This is an uber-insightful assessment. One digressional point: In the Age of Information, the strength of populism comes from appealing to cultural inheritances. In the flawed US Democracy, marked by hyper-partisanship, people overlook personal economic returns to vote for a party that represents their cultural interests. That, and that only is why Biden/Harris win cannot be a lay down misere.
